Carmen Elizabeth Link
September 8, 2008
7 lbs 9.9 oz, 21" (supposedly?)

This site is for us to give updates on Carmen and share most recent photos. I hope to post something every few days...but I have to admit the little stinker keeps me busy! :)

Here I am on September 7th about 8 p.m. This is early into the 22 hours of labor...I'm still smiling. :)

We had an incredible support group stay at the hospital...both grandparents (Mema & Pepa, Mama & Pa pa), Aunt Lori, cousins Haley & Austin, and my friend Leslie (who helped tremendously during this process!) It was a long night for everyone & we were thankful to have so much support.

First time seeing Carmen: September 8th 4:24 p.m. She wore Mom out! I got to hold her for a long time, it was a much welcomed distraction.

Dad's first time holding Carmen.

Getting ready to take Carmen home (Wednesday September 10th).

Carmen just loves her hands! It's nice that she gives us hunger cues with her hands vs. just crying.

The first Saturday home she & Dad watched a little MIZZOU football. It was also Dad's birthday...it will definitely be one to remember!

Carmen's first bath...she didn't cry one bit. She has done great at bath time...she must like them!

Other than to Target for some additional supplies, our first outing was to the Gardner Festival. We both needed to get outside (it rained all week that we were first home)...plus it was fun to show her off!

First time to church!

Snuggles with Dad.
