Sunday we went to the Louisburg Cider Festival...me, B, Haley & Carmen. It was almost hot out! We got to see how they make Apple Cider & enjoyed an Apple Cider Slush. We didn't stay long.

I had to sub in a picture of Austin since he wasn't able to come play this weekend! We missed him! :) Haley enjoyed feeding & playing with Carmen, it's so nice to have her help!

Saturday night Carmen slept 9 pm to 5 am! We were impressed & excited. She didn't do as well last night but her eating schedule was thrown off a bit yesterday since she slept so much the night before. Back on track today though...but need to keep her awake a little more today (yesterday she slept ALL day so she really wasn't ready for bed last night at 9 when we've been putting her down!)

Today I realized that Carmen enjoys the blender. She was bored/fussing and I went to make my smoothie (blender) and she stopped. By the time I was done she was sleeping. Seems as though she is a heavier sleeper than her father...is that a Link trait?

Lots of new photos today!! Carmen slept great again last night - 9 pm to 2:30 am! Such a good baby!

My Aunt Suzie & my Dad brought my Grandma (Carmen's Great Grandma) to KC today, Haley came along & is spending the night. We had a fun day with family.

Carmen listened very closely to hear what Haley had to say.

No new pictures today but progress to report. Carmen slept from about 8:30 pm last night to 2:30 am. Ahhh! That was nice! We had a busy day today. She started her morning by snuggling with Dad (he went in to work late as he had a dentist appointment), then we had a chiropractor appointment. After that we dropped in to see my friends Nancy & Alex. On the way home, it was pretty close to feeding time & she started to fuss in the car. I thought it was hunger but turns out she was HOT, which was a first! Woops! :) We also went on a walk with Laura & Sunny. Once Dad got home, he took over watching Carmen while I mowed. It was kind of a nice break - to just go around in circles, fairly similar to what I feel like I do all day!!!!

We had a photo shoot this morning! She's laying on the bunny that came in her basket from the church. The bunny is really soft & as you can see pretty big. It came dressed in a cute little outfit, including shoes.

By far my favorite!!

She slept 5 hours last night. I had to wake her at 1:30 am to eat - I think she would have slept longer but we aren't supposed to let her go more than 5 hours without eating. I had to strip her down & put a cold rag on her belly & face. She woke up to eat about 2 ounces. Then she slept another 3.5 hour stretch - up at 5 am to eat. WIDE awake then! But we worked to get relaxed enough to go back to sleep....and she slept until 9. So did Mommy!!! I was awake a lot last night trying to get her awake, then get her to sleep. You wonder if she thinks we're crazy!

We're off for a walk now! Marcia is coming to visit us this afternoon!! :)

Laura, Rodney & Sunny brought us dinner on Monday the 22nd. It was Carmen's first time meeting Sunny.

We went out to eat last night and also to Best Buy to purchase a camcorder. Carmen slept the entire time & didn't make a peep! She slept great last night, she's been sleeping more 4 hour blocks during the night (vs. 3 hours) and has even done a few 5 hour blocks of time. We appreciate those!!! She is still eating good, up to 2.5-3 oz./feeding. Sometimes she's really hungry and eats 4 oz.

Since she lost her cord, we were able to give her a bath in the "big tub" on Monday evening....even with soap this time! She did really well...didn't cry at all!

Tonight we are going to Laura & Sunny's (Laura & I are friends from high school and were also pregnant at the same time, Sunny is 2 weeks to the day older than Carmen). Other college girlfriends will be there to meet both babies...should be fun!

Lilly seems to be doing a little better this week. We raised the side of Carmen's bed up so Lilly can't jump in anymore.

First time meeting Aunt Tara, Uncle Troy, & cousins Anna & Alaina (9/20/08).

First walks with Mom. Carmen enjoys walks...we'll start running as soon as she can hold her head up & be in the Chariot Jogger. I've started her early with hats (even though they are a little big) to make it easier later. I've learned from my friend Marilee, if you don't start early it's hard to get them to keep them on!

Carmen is very alert when she is awake. She likes her mobile from Mama & Papa Link and likes tummy time. Right now her eyes are blue, but I'm betting they change to brown like Daddy's.
